What’s Special About This Recipe?

Originally I found this recipe on Andi Anne’s food blog. People LOVE her recipe, so give her Oven Baked Chicken Legs a try! I’ve made a few changes that I think give the chicken a little more flavor while keeping the recipe just as simple.

This recipe is a keeper in our home for two reasons:

  1. It is SO simple
  2. No one likes dry chicken, and it has turned out juicy every time!

To make it a meal, we eat these drumsticks on-the-regular with Easy Weeknight Rice Pilaf and Magnolia Table’s Green Beans Amandine.


Ingredients & Supplies

To make these drumsticks you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • Olive oil
  • Chicken drumsticks
  • Onion powder
  • Garlic powder
  • Italian seasoning
  • Smoke paprika
  • Salt
  • Pepper

To make these drumsticks you’ll need the following supplies:

  • Large bowl
  • Large sheet pan
  • Meat thermometer

Weeknight Baked Chicken Drumsticks: Let’s Get Cooking!

In a large mixing bowl, mix together the olive oil and all the spices.

Add all the chicken to the bowl, and mix with your hands until each piece of chicken is coated evenly with the oil/spice mixture.

Place the chicken in a single layer on a large sheet pan.

Bake for 40-45 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165℉. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tbsp onion powder
  • ½ tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425℉.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mix together the olive oil and all the spices.
  • Add all the chicken to the bowl, and mix with your hands until each piece of chicken is coated evenly with the oil/spice mixture.
  • Place the chicken in a single layer on a large sheet pan.
  • Bake for 35 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165℉. Enjoy!
